Mr. Harvey Wayne Adams,  73, of Hamlet passed away Wednesday,  June 7,  2017 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.  He was born March 30, 1944 in Anson County,  son of the late Ernest Jerome Adams and Glennie Hough Adams.

 

Mr. Adams was a member of First Baptist Church in Hamlet and had been the owner of Adams Recapping Service and Adams Muffler Shop.   He had been a driver for Brown Molding Company, and with Carolina Southern Trucking Company.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, and  hunting.

 

Memorial services were conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9th in the chapel of Watson –King Funeral Home in Hamlet with Rev. Randy Bishop officiating. 

 

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Vickie Parker Adams of the home; a son, Harvey Wayne Adams, Jr. and wife Renee of Shelby; grandchildren, Charlie Adams, Ryan Adams, Josh Adams, Brandon Wallace and wife Sarah, and Cody Pace; great grandchildren, Brandon Wallace, Jr., Blayton “Rex” Wallace, and Bentley Thayne Wallace; sisters, Julia Clark of Troy and Juanita Adams of Dunwoody, GA; a sister-in-law, Bobbie Adams; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Adams; a sister, Jo Rayo; and a grandson, Kendall Pace.
