Remembering Our Father with Love

Mr. Frederick James  Koenig, Sr. , 78,  went with our Lord quietly Thursday,  February 2, 2017 at the home of his daughter, Alice.  He was born July 21, 1938 in Dover, New Jersey, son of the late Robert and Ida Decker Koenig.

Mr. Koenig was a retired diesel mechanic and was engaged in security services for  a number of years afterward.  He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed restoring antiques and furniture.  He was a master woodcraftsman.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Mr. Koenig was preceded in death by his wife of fifty three years, Joanne Johnson Koenig.

He is survived by his children, Margaret  Kemmerer, Alice Kaulfers, Frederick Koenig, Jr., and Robert Koenig; grandchildren, Jessica Kaulfers, Sabrina Kaulfers, Steven Kaulfers, Heather Kemmerer, Matthew Kemmerer,  Dustin Koenig, Jasmine Koenig, Robert Cuchna, and Michael Koenig; and great grandchildren,  Kaitlyn Kaulfers, Owen Kaulfers, and Alyssa Kaulfers.

Services will be conducted privately with the family.

Watson – King Funeral Home in Rockingham  is assisting Mr. Koenig’s family.
