Mrs. Frances Rice Winchester, 92, of Hamlet passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017. She was born January 23, 1925 in Union County, daughter of the late William and Effie Garland Rice.

Mrs. Winchester was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hamlet and was associated with Joe’s Florist in Hamlet for a number of years and then with Hillside Florist in Rockingham for a time following.

Mrs. Winchester is survived by sons, David Winchester and wife Phyllis of Glendale, AZ and Steve Winchester and wife Michele of St. Augustine, FL; three grandchildren, Brooke McMillan of Wake Forest, Tiffany Kuykendall of Miami, FL, and Ashley Gandees, of Wesley Chapel, FL; and four great grandchildren, Caitlan McMillan, Kendall McMillan, Grant McMillan, and Katherine Kuykendall.

Mrs. Winchester was preceded in death by her husband, Louie R. Winchester in 2003.

Services were conducted graveside 2:00 pm Friday, February 10th at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC.
