Vanessa Rhodes

Vanessa Eudy Rhodes, 68, of Hamlet, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at her home. She was born in 1954 in Vermilion County, Illinois a daughter of the late Donald and Peggy Switzer Eudy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joy Rhodes; Sister Sherry Griffin (John); Brother, Donald (Michael) Eudy. 

She is Survived by; Sister, Emma Ruth (Denise) Eudy Keen (called Deni by family) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; Stepson, John Rhodes of Hamlet; along with extended family members living throughout the USA; and a feisty kitten named Hamlet.

Vanessa graduated from Twin Lakes High School class of 1972 of Monticello, Indiana and from St. Elizabeth Hospital, School of Nursing class of 1975. She served as a registered nurse till she retired.

Vanessa loved her family and friends. 
She loved her garden and her flowers, animals, fishing, and being in the outdoors. She traveled with her late husband to many states and they cruised the high seas on luxury cruise ships.

Her favorite place was here in North Carolina and the Great Smokey Mountains. She was very kind hearted and enjoyed helping others.

Vanessa’s family and friends are missing her and her sweet and happy personality.
