Timothy James "Jabo" Simmons

Timothy James “Jabo” Simmons,54, of Hamlet passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at his home. He was born October 28, 1966 in Richmond County, a son of the late William Thomas and Drithia Holden Simmons.
Jabo was an employee of Vulcan Materials for fourteen years. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother Jeff Simmons.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Rev. Randy Sutherland officiating. Burial will follow at Ellerbe Cemetery.
Surviving, His wife, Sherry Chavis Simmons; Sons, Dustin Simmons, John Simmons and Jacob Simmons; Grandson, Jaxon Simmons; A brother, Kevin Simmons.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet.
