Timothy Wright Boyd

Timothy Wright Boyd, 64, of Hamlet passed away Monday February 4th, 2019. Tim was born August 19, 1954 in Richmond county, a son of the late Patrick and Susan Boyd, and brother Patrick Boyd II. He retired from CSX Railroad where he worked as a car inspector.

Many Hamlet natives know of the summers of fun spent at Boyd Lake with the Boyd family. Tim enjoyed his home and the nature surrounding it. He is survived by his sons Timothy Wright Boyd II (Tera) of Apex, NC and Patrick Garrett Boyd of Rockingham. Tim has one granddaughter, Arden Wright Boyd.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor his memory by suggesting a small donation to the Hamlet Historic Depot and Museum located at 2 Main St, Hamlet, NC 28345. Donations can also be made through their website, http://www.hamlethistoricdepot.org/.

As Tim was a private person, no formal services will be held. Tim so loved his home and his beautifully maintained land, so his family would like to hold a memorial for close friends and family to spread his ashes, at a later date.
