Thomas Edwin Rippy

Reverend Thomas Edwin Rippy of Rockingham, NC, passed away Sunday September 11th at Richmond County Hospice Haven. Thomas was born April 1, 1936 in White County, Illinois. Thomas graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in theology and education, and briefly worked as a high school biology and science teacher. Thomas, however, found his true passion in ministry and serving his Baptist community.
A memorial service will be held Thursday evening, September 15, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. at Roberdel Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Dennis officiating.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Bertie Rippy, as well as his daughter Crystal and her husband Bill Ward.
Surviving him is his loving wife Lillie Fae Rippy, and their children Leslie Rippy Black (Alan) and Scott Edwin Rippy; Sister Judy Rippy Williams; Grandchildren Wessley Hudtchcraft, Summer Holmes, Nathan Rippy, Tabatha Rippy, Jenna Rippy and Jordan Rippy; Step-grandchildren Ciera Black and Cameron Black and a host of great-grandchildren.
