Thomas Hicks

Thomas Hicks,74, of Hamlet passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 .
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 12th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Born September 2, 1945 in Marlboro County he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Collens Hicks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Dannielle Hicks and brothers, Robert, Oland, and Donald Gene Hicks.
Mr. Hicks worked in the packing department at Perdue for 30 years.
He is survived by seven children, Tommy Hicks, Kenny Stewart, Rhonda Collins (Alvin), Ronald Stubbs (Ammie), Jamie Stubbs (Carrie), Christopher Hicks (Melanie Gordan), and Curtis Hicks, seven siblings, Charlie Hicks, Virginia McIntyre, Betty Terry, Billy Hicks, Lonnie Hicks (Joy), Cathy Pruitt (Kenneth), and Wayne Hicks, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
