Steven Allen Woodard

WALLACE, S.C. - Mr. Steven Allen Woodard, age 60, of Wallace, SC, formerly of Fayetteville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 12th, 2018.

Steve was born on August 16, 1957 in Alma, Georgia, the oldest son of the late Hoke Smith Woodard, Jr. and Shirley Ann Plummer.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Lighthouse Ministries Church, 1623 Highway 177 N., Wallace, SC, with Pastor Charles Cox, officiating. Viewing will be at 10:00 - 11:30 AM followed by a funeral service from 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM.

Steve was a 1976 graduate of Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville, NC. He worked many years as a structural carpenter, catalytic converter recycler, lobster processor, and furniture assembler. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and had a passion for playing Pinochle, and river and surf fishing whenever possible.

Steve will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived his dear friend and companion Cathy L. Crenshaw of Wallace, SC; his daughter Jacqueline M. (Matt) Bledsoe, son Marshall H.S. Woodard, and their mother Debra A. Woodard of Fayetteville, NC; brothers - Benny E. (Jean) Woodard of Alpharetta, GA, John W. (Betsy) Woodard of Norfolk, VA, and Joseph R. (Amy) Woodard of Austinville, VA; sister – Hope Elisha Woodard; and step-mother Evelyn D. Woodard of DeFuniak Springs, FL; four grandchildren - Amber, Kimberly, Olivia, and Michael, one nephew, four nieces.
