Shirley Rose "Tina" Barnhill

Mrs. Shirley Rose “Tina” Barnhill, of Rockingham passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital. Tina was born September 5, 1968 in Hoke County, NC, a daughter of Earl and Vickie Rose.

She was a 1986 graduate of Temple Christian School in Rockingham. She worked many places with children in teaching and guiding them. Which led her to Fairview Heights Elementary where she was a teacher for exceptional children.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Rev. Lloyd Grant and Rev. Butch Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet. Due to COVID-19 please wear face covering and continue to social distancing.

Those whom she left behind, her husband, Richard Barnhill; two children, Christina Powell (JR) of Polkton and Ricky Barnhill (Alicia) of Hamlet; her four grandchildren, Trey, Colton, Tyler and grandchild on the way. Her two sisters, Tiffany Rose and Grace Eason.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved being around her gran-babies. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be truly missed by all.
