Ruth Propst

Mrs. Ruth Hudson Propst, 95,   passed away Monday, January 10,  2022.  She was born January 12,  1926 in Richmond County, daughter of the late Sally Luther Hudson and William Fowle Hudson.
 
Mrs. Propst worked in the Emergency Department at Richmond Memorial Hospital as a LPN for many years.  She was a faithful member of Pee Dee United Methodist Church, and a part of Father’s Heart Ministry. She loved sharing the love of Jesus with everyone she met. 
 
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, January 15th at Pee Dee United Methodist Church with Rev. Janet Buffaloe officiating and interment following at Richmond Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall at the church.
 
Mrs. Propst is survived by her children, Michael Propst (Donna) of New Market, TN, Joel Propst (Tonya) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Robyn Smith (Larry) of Rockingham, and a daughter-in-law, Becky Propst of Bartlett, TN; grandchildren, Logan Propst, April Smith, Whitney Propst, Niki Propst, Jonathan Propst (Amanda), John Mark Propst (Caitlin), Adam Smith, Bethany Taber, Catherine Propst, David Propst, Amy Horton (Joshua), Hudson Propst, Luke Propst, and Joelie Propst; and twenty great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Hudson of Rockingham.

Mrs. Propst was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Propst; a son, Jim Propst;  and a daughter-in-law, Patti Propst; and siblings, Dorothy Macon, Catherine Wilson, Sara Belle Thompson, Jack Hudson, and Bill Hudson.
