November 28, 1921 ~ April 29, 2017 (age 95) 95 Years Old


Mrs. Rosalie B. Graham,  95, of Hamlet passed away Saturday,  April  29,  2017 at Hamlet House.  She was born November 28,  1921 in Pamlico County,  daughter of the late David and Lillie Bean Bell.

 

Mrs. Graham was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hamlet.  For many years,  she was active as the Kitchen Hostess at the church.  She was the secretary with the National Railroad Museum for twenty three years. Mrs. Graham had, also,  been a Girl Scout Leader for a number of years. She was lifetime member of the United Transportation Union Auxillary.

 

Services were conducted 2:30 pm Tuesday,  May 2nd at First United Methodist Church in Hamlet with Rev. Deborah Wilkins officiating and interment following at Richmond Memorial Park.  The family saw friends from 1:00 to 2:30 pm prior to the service at the church and other times at 604 Minturn Ave., Hamlet and 128 Fairway Dr., Rockingham.

 

Mrs. Graham is survived by  her children,  James Thomas Graham, III and wife Joyce of Rockingham and Ethelda G. Courtney and husband Ron of Apex.  She was known as "GiGa" to her five grandchildren, Jason Thomas Graham and wife Jami of Rockingham, Julie Graham Clark and husband Scott of Raleigh, Jared Layton Graham  and wife Sarah of Greensboro, Jeffrey L. Selph, Jr. and wife Kendra of Apex,  and Jennifer Selph Davis and husband Brian of Nashville, TN; four step grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, Jenna Graham, Jessi Graham, Jason Thomas Graham II, Camden Clark,  Cayda Clark, Graham Clark, Will Selph, Tripp Selph, Cooper Selph, Carson Davis, Klyne Davis, and Rosie Graham; and four step great grandchildren.   Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Graham in 2002.

 

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 300 Charlotte St., Hamlet,  NC  28345.
