Ronnie "Frog" L. Wright Sr.

Ronnie “Frog” L. Wright, Sr.,71, of Cordova passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. He was born August 29, 1946 in Richmond County, a son of the late Robert Daniel Wright, Jr. and Ella Gilliam Wright.
Mr. Wright was a proud Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Navy and retired from Carolina Millwork of Rockingham, Inc. He attended Well Spring Church, and was a lifelong avid Richmond Senior High School Raiders fan.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham with Rev. Ernie Walters officiating. Burial will follow at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Surviving, his wife, Mary S. Wright of Cordova; son, Lyn Wright of Cordova; daughter, Dena King and husband Toby of Rockingham; granddaughter, Michelle Jarrett; brother, Wayne Wright and wife Jackie of Rockingham; sister-in-law, Joyce Wright of North Myrtle Beach; former wife Judy Wright of Rockingham; loved pet, Katie Bug; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wright.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
