Mary Elizabeth Frye

Mary Elizabeth “Bee” Frye, 93, of Rockingham passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at PruittHealth in Rockingham. She was born January 4, 1926 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Roy Eugene and Vida Mae Haigler Jenkins.

Bee retired from Sara Lee Hosiery Mill in 1988. She was a faithful member of Roberdel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, served as WMU Director, VBS Director and Sunday School Teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Eldridge Frye and a son Dean Frye.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Roberdel Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Dennis, Rev. Larry Frye and Rev. Jason Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.

Surviving: Sons, Billy Frye and wife Debbie of Ellerbe and Franklin Frye and wife Sharon of Rockingham and daughter-in-law Janie Frye.; Five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roberdel Baptist Church Bus Fund, 1118 Richmond Rd. Rockingham, NC 28379.
