Marion "Murn" Ray Dawkins, 64, passed away on April 7th, 2017 surrounded by family. Marion was born in Rockingham, NC on January 23rd, 1953.

He is survived by his daughter Christie Brigman (Cam), his grandson, Tylar Brigman , two brothers, Doug Dawkins (Linda) and Donald Dawkins, two sisters, Betty Jean Dawkins and Linda Dawkins; along with numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Marion was preceded in death by George R. and Grace Brock Dawkins (parents), Robert "Bobby" Dawkins, George "Skinny" Dawkins and Maurice Dawkins (brothers) and Beulah "Bootsie" Dawkins Jones.

The family received friends Monday, April 10th from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm with the memorial service following at 2:00 pm at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating and interment following at Eastside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sweet Haven Church Youth at 424 Midway Road, Rockingham, NC 29379.
