Marjorie Rush Davenport Medlin

Marjorie Rush Davenport Medlin, 93, of Hamlet passed away on Friday April 6, 2018 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10th in the chapel at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet with Dr. Allison Farrah and Rev. Randy Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born December 25, 1924 in Gibson, NC she was a daughter of the late Harris and Margarite Bullard Rush, wife of the late Pete Davenport and Howard Medlin, and was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Elaine "Rocky" Davenport.
Mrs. Medlin owned and operated Marjie’s Daycare, was a homemaker, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamlet.
She is survived by one daughter, Patsy McCrary (Bobby), two sons, Glenn Davenport and Tommy Davenport (Sherri) all of Hamlet, one sister, Jeanette Smith (Earl) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
