Linda Forbis

Mrs. Linda Davis Forbis,  60,  of Hamlet passed away Saturday,  August 25,  2018 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.  She was born November 30,  1957, daughter of the late Hayward Davis and Evelyn Bentley Davis Ross.

Mrs. Forbis was the Dietary Manager with Pruitt Health in Rockingham for thirty years. She had a Dietary degree from the University of Florida.    Mrs. Forbis enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her grandchildren.  “Grandma Wednesday’s” were very special days for her.  She enjoyed sports of all kinds, and especially the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.

Services were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday,  August  29th in the chapel of Watson –King Funeral Home in Hamlet with Ronnie Chavis officiating and interment followed at Richmond Memorial Park.  The family had visitation Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Forbis is survived by her children, Jody (DeeDee) Clary of Hamlet, Brooke (Josh Williams) Taylor of Rockingham,  Susanne Forbis of Rockingham, Dawne (Ronnie) Chavis of Hamlet, and Donnie (Becky) Forbis, Jr., of Newberry, SC; grandchildren, Ally Taylor, Layla Forbis, Jaxon Chambers, Kali Hewitt, Seth Chavis, Jake Chavis, Tatum Chavis, Carly Rae Chavis,  Tripp Forbis, and  Bree Forbis; a great grandson, Wade Chavis; and siblings, Carol Davis, Jamey Davis, and Jimmy Ross.  Mrs. Forbis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donnie Forbis; and grandmother, Bertha Bentley.
