Kirk S. Kapp,70, of Rockingham passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his home. He was born July 4, 1952 in LaMoure, ND, a son of Esther Harr Kapp and the late Al Kapp.
Kirk lived a very full life and worked doing the things he loved until his last day. He retired as a Master Sergeant in the Army-Special Forces back in the early 1990s. After his military career, he worked for Richmond Community College for another 20 years where he taught masonry to inmates at Morrison Correction Institution. Kirk was an extremely talented woodworker and home renovator, which was his true passion. Over the years Kirk has built many beautiful pieces of furniture and has completed some amazing renovations in his home as well as the homes of many others. His work will truly be cherished. Kirk had a heart of gold and would go above and beyond to help those he cared about. All who knew Kirk loved and respected him. He will truly be missed.
A memorial will conducted Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham with full military honor.
Surviving, His wife, Robin Lupton Kapp; Daughters, Mary Hannah Willink and Lauren Hutson; Sister, Dakota Spielman; Brothers, Kole Kapp and Scott Kapp. Grandchildren, Keyaira, LeRoy, Autumn, Dorothy, Amelia, and Ingrid.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
