Johnny Lee Lisk Sr.

Johnny Lee Lisk Sr., 72 of Hamlet passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at Richmond Co. Hospice Haven.

Johnny was born October 6, 1949 to the late Jesse Lee and Nellie Lisk. Johnny graduated from Hamlet High School and served in the United States Army to honorably serve and protect his country during tumultuous times during the Vietnam War. After serving his time in the Army, Johnny earning certification through Wayne Community College in Goldsboro. Johnny then worked for Cascades as a machine operator.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lois Darlene Lisk of Hamlet, his son Johnny Lisk Jr. of Hamlet, and his daughter Shannon Baxley (Daniel) of Rockingham, NC. He is further survived by brothers David Lisk of Mooresville, NC, Scott Lisk Sr, Jim Lisk, and Dean Lisk all three of Hamlet, NC; Brother-in-laws Frankie Williams of Hamlet, NC, and Wade Williams (Kathie) of Rockingham, NC; Sister-in-law Mary Alice Russell (Don) of Rockingham; Grandchildren Kaitlyn Baxley of London, UK, Danielle Baxley of Rockingham, NC, and Johnny Lisk III of Watertown, TN. Johnny is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Marks Creek Presbyterian Church in Hamlet with Rev. Ken Goins officiating with military honors. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
