John P. “Johnny” Honeycutt,74, of Hamlet passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Richmond Co. Hospice Haven. He was born October 11, 1946 in Mecklenberg County, NC a son of the late John Pernay and Viola Howell Honeycutt.
Johnny retired from Industrial Sheet Metal and was the Owner of Honeycutt Auction. He also worked at Richmond County Solid Waste Collection Site andRichmond Co. Habitat For Humanity.
He was preceded in death by brothers Tommy, George, David “Red” Honeycutt and Aunt Fannie Honeycutt.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham with Rev. Eddie McLean officiating. Due to Covid-19 please wear face covering and continue to social distancing.
Surviving, His wife, Lorriane Honeycutt of the home; Children, Craig(Sara) Wilkerson, Robert “Napper” Wilkerson, Scottie(Nancy) Honeycutt, Rose(Eustus)Cook and Kelli Honeycutt; Sisters, Norma McLean and Flora Annie Honeycutt; Brothers Kenneth Honeycutt and J.R. Foster. Fourteen grandchildren and Six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
