Jean Bynum

Mrs. Jean Thomas Bynum, 91, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at her home. She was born April 11, 1928 in Richmond County, daughter of the late Vance and Mary Grace Webb Thomas.

Mrs. Bynum was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. She was the owner of Jean’s Beauty Shop for many years and retired after teaching cosmetology at Pinecrest High School in 1991. She loved to travel, enjoyed music, and appreciated all of God’s creations and nature and walking in the woods. She liked to square dance, and she loved her family and friends.

Services will be conducted privately, but family and friends may gather at the Bynum home, 786 Hwy 73 East, Ellerbe.

Mrs. Bynum is survived by her husband of seventy two years, Homer; a brother, Bobby Thomas and wife Doris of Rockingham; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death
by a brother, Joe Webb Thomas.
