Hazel Stutts Brown

Hazel Stutts Brown,89, of Rockingham passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Richmond
Co. Hospice Haven. She was born September 19, 1933 in Richmond County, a daughter of
the late Austin B. and Grace Dawkins Stutts.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Park Ave. Presbyterian Church and was the owner & operator
of Brown Termite & Pest Control.

She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Walker Brown, a grandson Chase
Brown, sisters Edith Stutts, Margaret Watts and a brother A.B. Stutts.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastside
Cemetery with Dr. Jim Lankford officiating.

Surviving, Sons, Greg Brown and wife Shari of Rockingham, Douglas Walker Brown, Jr. of
Chapel Hill and Garry Brown of Rockingham; Grandchildren, Judson Brown, Cora Brown,
Bruce Brown, Paul Brown and wife Karen, Chris Brown and wife Katie and Max Brown;
Great grandchildren, Porter, Isla, Ava, Colton, Jezabel, Clementine, Delia, and Violeta.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral
Home in Rockingham and at other times at her home.
