George Harvey Barfield

George Harvey Barfield,91, of Hamlet passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at his home. He was born August 17, 1930 in Scotland County, a son of the late Ernest E. and Frances Stubbs Barfield.

He served in the US Army and retired from Industrial Sheet Metal.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park with military honors.

Surviving, Nieces Brenda Wise and Novella Fucci both of Hamlet; Great nieces Angie Dorey and Crystal Williams; Great nephew, Tim Henry; Sister-in-law Geraldine Barfield; Eight great great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 22, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet and at other times at 118 Homewood Dr. Rockingham, NC 28379.
