Mr. Edmund J. DeBerry, III, 81, of Rockingham passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at Manor Care in Pinehurst. He was born in Anson County, son of the late Edmund and Ruth Dabbs DeBerry.

Mr. DeBerry was a member of Cartledge Creek Baptist Church. He was retired from the R. W. Goodman Company. Mr. DeBerry served in the National Guard.

Services were conducted 12:00 pm Thursday, August 24th in the chapel of Watson – King Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Jason Lutz officiating and interment in Dockery Cemetery.

The family saw friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. DeBerry is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, JoAnn Hudson DeBerry; son, Eddie DeBerry and wife Susan of Indian Trail; three grandchildren, Catherine , Kristen, and Eddie H. DeBerry.
