Mrs. Doris Miller Thomas, 83, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. She was born November 8, 1933, daughter of the late Caleb and Bessie Gibson Miller.

Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 27th in the chapel of Watson – King Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Joe B. Wilkes officiating and interment to follow at Eastside cemetery. The family will have visitation to see friends Wednesday at 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Lowery and husband James, Linda Thomas, and Kenneth Thomas, all of Rockingham; grandchildren, Johnny Reynolds, Amy Reynolds, Brandon Hoffman, Sherry Wallace, Angel Thomas, Latonya Norton, Ashley Norton, Michael Thomas, Jr., Christy Thomas, Bobbi Jean Thomas, Ricky Thomas, and Brian Thomas; twenty one great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Thomas; and children, Gary Thomas, Michael Thomas, and Tammy Thomas.
