Debbie B. Spurlin,64, of Rockingham, died Saturday, October 28, 2017. She was born March 24, 1953 in Richmond County, North Carolina a daughter of the Ralph and Helen Maugher Brigman.

Debbie graduated from Hamlet High School and attended to Wingate University, graduated Lenoir Rhyne College and got her advance degree from University of Georgia. She worked several years at Pinehurst Elementary School and retired Richmond Community College. Mrs. Spurlin was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. John Pfisterer officiating.
Surviving; Her husband, Steve Spurlin; A daughter Charleen Brigman; A stepson, Stuart Spurlin; A sister Linda Brigman.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
