Carolyn M. Taylor, 64, of Rockingham passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at her home. She was born May 6, 1954 in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Ray and Ruth Marie Blalock Morton.
Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and making arts and crafts with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Brenda Beane and Ann Beck and brothers Larry Morton and Jerry Morton.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 22, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Childers, Bishop Marvin Taylor and Rev. Gary Richardson officiating. Entombment will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.
Surviving: Her husband, James Robert Taylor of Rockingham; Daughthers, Felisia Gulledge and husband Mark of Hamlet, and Lisa Taylor of Rockingham; Sons, Bryan Gibson and Jamie Taylor of Rockingham; Grandchildren, Addison Goodwin Gibson(Meagan), Taylor Teague (Cody), Hailey Wheeler, and Carley Gulledge; Great grandson, Noah Gibson; Sisters, Linda Carter and Ila Hogan; Brothers, Johnny Morton, Frankie Morton and Dennis Morton.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church.
