Brenda Faye Prevatte

Brenda Faye Prevatte, 72, of Bennettsville, South Carolina, passed away in her home August 24th, 2023. Brenda was a daughter of William Westley Steen and Sue Teal, born December 21st, 1950. Along with her parents, Brenda is preceded by her siblings, Linda Sturdivant, Annie Ruth Roscoe, Brady Steen, Willie Ray Steen, Debra Smith, and Mary Benoist.

Brenda enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and loved a good joke and had a matching sense of humor. Growing up in Marlboro County, Brenda worked for many years in Textiles. Brenda is survived by her Husband Frank Petry, of the home; son David Prevatte, of Rockingham, North Carolina; siblings Wanda Nunn, of Ellerbe, North Carolina, Teresa Steen of Rockingham, Lisa Steen of Society-Hill and Bill Steen of Rockingham.

The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, August 27th, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet. Rev. Jamie English will be officiating the service which will follow immediately after the visitation. Interment will be held at Steen Family Cemetery in Bennettsville, South Carolina.
