Tribute

Bobby C. “BC” Lambert, 80, of Oak Island and Clayton, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Wake Medical Center  in Raleigh. He was born April 4, 1937 at home in East Rockingham, a son of the late William E. “Bill” and Ossie Cannon Lambert.

Mr. Lambert graduated from Rohanen High School in 1955 and is often remembered as the boy that broke his back when he fell from the top of the gym decorating for the Jr./Sr. Prom.   Bobby was very proud of his association with CSX Railroad where he was a Carman and served as local union chairman, retiring with forty two years of service.  Mr. Lambert  was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rockingham, Rockingham Masonic Lodge 495, Charlotte Scottish Rite  and Oasis Shriners.  Bobby’s favorite activity was spending time with his grandbabies.  His face would light up every time their names were mentioned.  Bobby and Jane were soulmates and were married for sixty years.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Harris Jordan and Rev. Cheryl Lambert officiating.  The family had visitation one hour prior to the service at the church  and other times at the Currie residence, Lennox Station, 510 S. Caroline St., Apt A5, Rockingham.
