Barbara Sue Smith McLean

Barbara Sue Smith McLean,82, of Rockingham passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021. She was born December 2, 1938 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Murphy and Mattie Horne Smith.

Barbara retired from the NC State Agriculture Extension of Richmond County and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel R. “Danny” McLean on November 28, 2019.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Richmond Co. Memorial Park Rev. Carl Moree officiating. Please wear a face mask and continue to distancing.

Surviving, Her children, Jimmy McLean and wife Freida of Rockingham, Lisa McLean Grooms and husband Harold of Laurinburg and Jeremy Brandon McLean and wife Christina of Ohio; Grandchildren, Haley Grooms, Meredith McLean and Alex McLean; Sisters, Doris Wright of Hamlet and Maxine Kelly of Rose Hill.

Their will be a public viewing without the family present on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 1-4 P.M. and Saturday from 10-12 at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
