Anthony “Tony” Venable,68, of Rockingham, died Tuesday, March 7, 2018 at his home. He was born October 7, 1949 in Montgomery County, a son of the late Marvin Venable and Mary Lois Jeffries Coan.
He was preceded death by his parents and a brother Ronnie Venable.
Tony served in the US Airforce and was the owner of Venable’s Electric known as the “The Best Electrician in Town”.
A memorial service will be Friday, March 9, 2017 at 2:00 P.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet with Rev. June Grant officiating.
Surviving, His wife of 46 years, Charlene “Susie” Venable of the home; A daughter, Tonya Duncan and husband Tom of Rockingham; Three sisters, Sandra Venable Hall and husband Larry of Sanford, Cheryl Venable West and husband Henry of Rockingham and Lori Williams and husband Gary of Hamlet; A brother, Rick Venable of Charlotte; A sister-in-law Carole McDuffie Venable; His companion dogs, Tooter, Odie and Toby.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
