Annie Doris Chavis

Ms. Annie Doris Chavis, born September 24, 1951 to Paul and Lora Mae Hunt, went home November 12, 2020, in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Ms. Chavis was a loyal and dedicated General Manager for Hardee’s for 47 ½ years. She touched many lives over the years in Richmond, Robeson, and Chesterfield counties.  She loved serving her community. Annie is survived by her children; Gwendolyn (Bill) Suite of the home, and Larry Chavis of the home in Hamlet; Teresa Chavis Baker and Melissa Hargrove (Mike) of Pageland SC; Chris Hunt Bartley ( Jerry) of Lumberton NC. She leaves behind 38 grands and great grandchildren, 12 sisters, 2 brothers and many, many nieces and nephews.
Annie was preceeded in death by her parents Paul and Lora Mae Hunt, siblings Minnie Oxendine, Levern Hunt, Lena Mae Hunt and Eugene Hunt, Common law husband Glenn Ford and special friend Craig Davis.
We would like to say a special thank you to her hospice nurse, Ms. Michelle Rogers. We are very appreciative of all the hard work and love that you gave our mom, and the guidance you gave us. You are a very special lady to our family and we will hold you in our hearts.
A public viewing will be Sunday November 15, 2020 from 11am to 5pm at Watson-King in Hamlet. Please remember your masks and only 10 are allowed in the building at a time.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday November 17, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet in the outdoor area., at 3:00pm. Social distancing and masks are required.
