Alice Quick

Mrs. Alice Quick, 78, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Hospice Haven. She was born September 11, 1940 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Edmund and Rosa Berry Quick.

Mrs. Quick was a member of Cobb Memorial Baptist Church. She was retired from Sara Lee Hosiery with thirty four years of service. She, also, volunteered at Richmond Memorial Hospital for twenty years.

Services were conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 13th in the chapel of Watson – King Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Chuck McKnight officiating and interment following  at Eastside Cemetery.

The family had visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Quick is survived by her husband, James Quick; children, Cindy Miller of Troy, Dennis Quick and wife Kathy of Rockingham, and Wendy Smith and husband Gene of Rockingham; grandchildren, J.J. Shepard, Samantha Shepard, D. J. Quick, Darrick Tyler, Chris Quick, and Jennifer Miller; great grandchildren, Taylor Shepard, Cameron Shepard, Whitney Shepard, Carson Shepard, Aiden Shepard, Danika Deese, Marisa Quick, Trinity Quick, Josh Cox, and Nick Cox; siblings, Bea Bowman, Minnie Jane Thompson, and Doris Quick. Mrs. Quick was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Quick, and a brother, Edward Quick.
