Agnes Dawkins Benoist

Agnes Dawkins Benoist, 84 of Rockingham passed away January 14, 2021 at Pruitt Health in Rockingham. Agnes was born April 5, 1936 to Luther and Thelma Butler Dawkins in Richmond County.

Agnes was a kind soul. Throughout the years she helped many along the way, but never expected recognition for her acts of kindness. She was a very humble person and enjoyed a simple life. She was a talker! Agnes never met a stranger and loved everyone. She bonded with people through conversation. When it came time for the family reunion, Agnes enjoyed preparing the majority of the meal that was provided. She was doing both of her favorite things, talking and cooking.

Agnes was a proud supporter of St. Jude. She always had a concern for others, her light shined inside and out. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her and loved her.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 Hwy 1, Rockingham NC. 28379.

A memorial service will be Friday January 29th, 2021 at Richmond Memorial Park Mausoleum at 1:00pm.
