Shelia Franklin Boone,64, of Rockingham died Friday, December 1, 2017 at her home. She was born September 8, 1953 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Jesse Franklin, Jr. and Irene Brigman Franklin.

Shelia retired from Hood Packing Company and was known by her coworkers as the candy lady.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Larry and Tim Franklin.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Rev. Joel Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.

Surviving, A son, Jamie Boone and wife Missi of Hamlet; Sister, Susan Tibbs of Rockingham: Brother, Odell Franklin wife Donna of Hamlet; Grandchildren, William Reynolds and Natalie Johnson and husband James; Great granddaughter, Harper Johnson.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 PM at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet.
