Patricia Brooks Watson, 79, of Rockingham passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16th at the First Baptist Church of Rockingham where she was a longtime member. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park
Born April 2, 1937 in Hamlet she was a daughter of the late Leland (Pat) and Thelma East Brooks and was preceded in death by a son, Tilden Lee Watson.
Mrs. Watson was a homemaker and part owner of Watson’s Gulf and Wrecker Service. She was also a member and past president of The Rockingham BPW Club.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Willard Watson, Jr. of Rockingham, three daughters, Michaelle Goforth (Bill) of Madison, AL, Dawn Roberts (Greg) of Holly Springs, and Patty Safrit (John) of Mebane, two sons, Dale LaRue Bailey (Terry) of Carrboro and Russell Hollis Watson of Rockingham, one sister, Virginia B. Putnam of Shallotte, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
