Mildred Marie Russell, 88, of Rockingham passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Saturday, March 25th at Southside Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
Born May 11, 1928 in Richmond County she was a daughter of the late Lacy and Lola Hewitt Thompson and wife of the late Bernie H. Russell.
Mrs. Russell worked at Aleo Manufacturing and retired from Clark Equipment Company.
She loved her grandchildren, working in her yard, baking cakes, and was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving her are two daughters, Cendi Yates (Ken) of Rockingham and Terri Hilderbrand (Roger) of Hickory, one son, Ted Russell (Norma Jean) of Monroe, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
