Mark Reeves,63, of Rockingham passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born August 27, 1954 in Michigan; a son of Constance K. Reeves and the late Eugene G. Reeves.
Mark was a member of Pee Dee United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He would get a kick out of watching Richmond Raider Football, UNC Sports, Carolina Panthers, and all of the Detroit teams. He enjoyed spending time at the Hamlet Senior Center. His jovial sense of humor and love of life meant that he never met a stranger. Anyone that knew him has countless stories of jokes that he played on them and the laughs they shared. Mark loved to ride his scooter around town and the independence that it gave him. In the past, he could be found every Sunday playing games with family after church.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 27, 2017 at Pee Dee United Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Brian Perry officiating.
Surviving, his mother, Constance Reeves; a sister, Denise Toler; nephew George Reeves Jr.; nieces Angela Reeves, Heather Toler, and Lindsey Slutz; great nephew Caleb Johnson; great nieces Tabitha Reeves and Mia Toler. Mark was preceded in death by his father Eugene G. Reeves and his brother George E. Reeves.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. on Sunday evening at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
