John (Jack) Edward Thomas, 86, of Rockingham passed away Tuesday August 1, 2017 at his home.
A memorial service will be held on Friday August 4th at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) in the chapel at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham
Born September 2, 1930 he was a son of the late Earl and Bessie Simpson Thomas and was preceded in death by his son, Donn J. Thomas and brother, Robert Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was a US Airforce Veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a Vending Instructor at Richmond Community College.
He is survived by his wife of 66years, Mary Ellison Thomas of the home, one daughter, Beverly Lynn (Keith) of Rockingham, one son, Michael E. Thomas of Charlotte, one sister, Jean McMullen of Naples, FL, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
