Mrs. Hallie Melton Walls, 90 of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Hospice Haven. She was born October 29, 1926, daughter of the late James and Lillie Sanford Melton.

Mrs. Walls was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church. She worked for a short time at Sandhurst Mill and Dorsett Printing. Cooking, gardening, sewing and crafting filled her life with joy. She was a loving wife of fifty two years, and a precious mother and grandmother. She was kind to all, loved by everyone, and will be missed by many.

Services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 26th at First Presbyterian Church in Rockingham with Rev. Dwight Williams officiating and interment following at Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends following the service at the Walls’ home.

Mrs. Walls is survived by her daughters, Gail Walls Bryant of Aiken, SC and Judy Walls Warwick (Bobby) of Rockingham; two grandchildren, Andrea Lupton (Jonathan) of Aiken, SC and Matt Warwick of Rockingham; one sister, Helen Shaw of Rockingham; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Walls Thompson of Laurel Hill and Betty Smith Melton of Rockingham; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. T. “Pete” Walls.
