Gertrude Triplett, 80, of Rockingham passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22nd at Eastside Cemetery.
Born May 27, 1936 in Scotland County she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Hicks Bennett, wife of the late James D. Triplett and was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula C. Reese.
Mrs. Triplett was the owner and operator of J and A General Store and was a member of Huckabee Grove Emmanuel Holiness Church in Laurel Hill.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty S. Pierce of Blenheim, SC, three sons, Daniel P. Coates III (Jeffery), Henry R. Coates, Sr. (Melinda), and Donald Wayne Coates all of Rockingham, fifteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 21st at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham
