Gary Mitchell Morton, 65, of Rockingham passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30th in the Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet. Burial will follow at Stevan Gibson Cemetery.
Born January 20, 1952 in Montgomery County he was a son of the late Rayburn and Sadie Morton.
Gary was in charge of the Maintenance Department at the Tri-City Company Town Park Apartments and was a founder of Alcoholics Anonymous of Richmond County.
He is survived by two sons, James Franklin Morton of Burlington and Gary Wayne Morton of Reidsville, one daughter, Lynn Phelan of Mebane.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet.
