Edna Lou Dawkins, 83, of Rockingham passed away on Monday, February 5th, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8th at East Rockingham United Methodist Church with Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
Born October 18, 1934 in Robeson County she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Bessie Brigman Cockman, wife of the late Raymond M. Dawkins and was preceded in death by a brother, Mitchell Cockman and a granddaughter, Meredith Rebekah Whitley.
Mrs. Dawkins retired as a Director of food services for hospitals and nursing homes.
She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Keziah (Wendell) of Monroe, one son, Tommy Dawkins (Lynn) of Mt. Gilead, one sister, Linda Terry (Ralph) of Rockingham, three grandchildren, Eli Dawkins, Matthew and Andrew Whitley, and two special sisters-in-law, Elaine Cockman and Betty Jo Dawkins.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7th at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
