Christopher Dale Thornton, infant son of Blaake A. Thornton and Elizabeth A. Dawkins passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. He was born April 23, 2017 in Orange County, North Carolina.

A service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 11:00 AM at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Rockingham. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Surviving: His parent Blaake A. Thorton and Elizabeth A. Dawkins; Maternal Grandparents, Mitchell and Loria Ann Dawkins; Aunts, Amber Bates, Jenny Bates and Alysia Wilson; Uncles, Marcus Bates, Jr. and Kalon Bates; God parents Kalon Bates and Tiffany Saunders.
Preceded in death by Paternal grandmother Tessa Bates.
