Wow. This is so incredibly sad. My brother and I grew up with Bruce, Mike, and Eric, and they were our best friends into adulthood. Bruce was so strong; so smart; so clever; and such a great person. When things went bad for him in the early 2000's, it was so tough watching this incredible person and war hero struggle with demons. We prayed for him to find himself; the guy we knew. Since losing touch about 10 or 15 years ago, I don't know how it was these past few years; only a few tidbits of info here and there. - I pray Bruce found some joy and peace.
Bruce, I love you brother. See you in Heaven some day.
Chris

@Larry: Took me a minute, I can be a little slow. Thanks for sharing 'cause you nailed it! Bruce loved to cut up and keep things light. Rarely did I see him when he wasn't smiling. I was privy on a number of occasions to get into some deep conversations with, Bruce. He was intelligent, educated, unafraid to challenge your point of view and more than willing to listen to yours as well. It is rare to find someone these days in a world of one line texts and selfies who will take the time to get to know you and let you know them. You had heart, Bruce. I will miss you for that and many other reasons.
ROLL TIDE!!!

CPT Talyor was my first flight company commander in Illesheim, Germany. His first order to me when I arrived at the company? "Get your name tag fixed. It's spelled wrong." He had the perfect sense of professionalism, maturity, with a little humor thrown in. He was the standard. Always led from the front, and told a Soldier what they needed to hear, and not what they wanted to hear. Rest in peace, sir. I'll see you on Fiddler's Green. To the family and friends of Bruce, my deepest condolences and prayers during this time.

My deepest condolences to all. Bruce and I served together in our first two assignments. I remember well, while we were in Iraq, when he got news of Lauren's birth. He was a very proud dad.
