Arthur (A.B.) Bayard Stutts, 78, of Rockingham passed away Tuesday April 11, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14th at Freedom Baptist Church with Masonic Rites. Rev. Ronnie McLean and Rev. Alex Perakis will be officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends starting at 12:30 p.m. on Friday at the church.
Born September 4, 1938 in Rockingham he was a son of the late Austin and Grace Dawkins Stutts.
Mr. Stutts was a Weaver and Weaver Instructor for J. P. Stevens, a Tool and Die maker for Clark Equipment Company and for Yatco, Inc. He was a Bronco League Baseball Coach for many years, was a member and Past Master of Masonic Lodge #495, was in the US Army National Guard, and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Carol Brown Stutts of Rockingham, one daughter, Laurie Marks (Greg) of Rockingham, one son, Art Stutts(Marsha) of Rock Hill, SC, two sisters, Hazel Brown and Margaret Watts both of Rockingham, five grandchildren, Hunter and Grayson Stutts, Evan and Ryan Watkins, and Jack Marks.
